During the course, students will learn the basic methods of research in engineering and approaches to optimizing engineering tasks, algorithms for calculating machines' parts and handling equipment.

Robotics

This project is implemented in a special computer-lab classroom. Students will learn the laws of mechanics and mathematical methods, underlying in the bases of control. Finally, students will have a computer mathematical model of a robot.

Computer Science

The Ural Federal University has the modern IT infrastructure. The networking laboratory equipped with Cisco hardware, the high performance computing cluster and the cloud platform. The program also gives a wonderful opportunity to see "inside" how these aspects of work organized in real organizations thanks to the practical-oriented part, visiting different enterprises.

The project concerns modern power supply and innovative energy management technologies.

Civil Engineering

During the course, students will learn methods of collecting loads on buildings, structures and components; the main provisions of the calculation of steel structures; the main provisions of designs of reinforced concrete structures, fracture toughness and deformability. The program gives a wonderful opportunity to see "inside" how these aspects of work organized in real organizations thanks to the practical-oriented part, visiting different enterprises.

Water Treatment

Students choose the project most appropriate to the conditions of their home region. As part of the project, they develop an order (algorithm) for solving the problem on the basis of what kind of water is used for drinking, which sources of pollution are major in the region (industrial enterprises, organic pollution, chemicals from agriculture, etc.). The volume of water reserves and the load on it are taken into account.

Material Science

The program includes two modules and allows a student to work with metallic or non-metallic materials due to the specialization or research interests. Both modules represent high involvement in real scientific work, students have to prepare the experimental work and do it themselves by their hands.

Neuroscience

This school is a great opportunity to dive into the neuropsychological scientific world. It is one of the activities contributing to the development of neuropsychology and other neurosciences in Russia and abroad.
