The International Students Summit and Comprehensive International Educational Program

Tokyo University of Agriculture (Tokyo NODAI) will hold the 19th International Students Summit (ISS) from Sept. 15th ~ 23rd, 2019 in Tokyo, Japan.

This year’s theme is “Youth Transforming Thoughts on Sustainable Agriculture and Resource Management to Connect Local and Global Community”. One representative student from OMU is invited.

Comprehensive International Education Program (CIEP) will also be offered from Sept. 6th ~ 13th 2019, a week prior to ISS. CIEP is an intensive training course in food, agriculture, and environment with a special focus on Japan and Asia comprised of farm visits, practicum, lectures, and workshops. Participation in CIEP is optional but strongly recommended for ISS representative students.

Who can apply?

•One Student representing OMU by presenting (oral and poster) their current research, project, or other initiatives related to the ISS theme of that year to have meaningful discussions with other students and scholars from around the world.

•One student will be nominated for oral presentation (a second student can be nominated for poster presentation only).

•Preferably Junior (3rd year) or Senior (4th year) undergraduate students

•Prerequisite: Basic course(s) in agriculture, food, and environment

•Language: English proficiency (B1) (The results of only the exams accepted by ÖSYM are valid)

Application Deadline: May 6th, 2019

 

Interested students should apply to Mr. Birol Kurt (birol.kurt@omu.edu.tr) until the nomination deadline on April 29th, 2019.

(A Recommendation Letter should be provided to Mr. Birol Kurt at the International Relations Office during application)
